Good trips build trust

Real days outside.
Useful, honest reviews.

Help the next guest plan their trip and the next landowner feel comfortable welcoming someone new.

The property

Was the listing accurate? Were access, boundaries, facilities and the fishing or hunting setup as described?

The host

Were communication, arrival arrangements and agreed access clear and reliable?

The outdoorsman

Did the booking guest communicate, respect the property and follow the agreed rules? This feedback is shared privately under the access rules below.

A review starts with a real trip.

Reviews are available only to the booking guest and host after an eligible, genuine completed Back40 Pass trip. Daily hunts, fishing trips and owner-defined full seasons use the trip’s recorded end. Examples, sandbox payments, inquiries, uncompleted trips and self-reviews cannot create ratings. Paid launch is not active yet, so sandbox trips will not build a public track record.

Two weeks. Both sides heard.

You have 14 days after the recorded trip end to submit. Guests review the property and host together; hosts review the booking outdoorsman. Neither side can see the other’s review until both sides submit or the review window closes. Submitted reviews cannot be edited or replaced. Reviews also need to pass human moderation before they appear.

The same deadline applies even if the other person does not leave a review. The review center shows the deadline and whether your submission is awaiting release or moderation.

Useful feedback beats a score for luck.

Describe your own experience with the place, the arrangements and the agreed rules. A sighting, harvest or catch is never guaranteed; review what was offered and what happened. Keep property feedback separate from communication with the host.

Keep private details private.

Do not include a gate code, exact address, sensitive wildlife location, contact details or another person’s private information. Public property and host reviews use a general guest label, without exposing account details. Outdoorsman feedback stays private. You can see released feedback about yourself in My reviews. Access for another host will require a server-confirmed genuine booking relationship; that broader lookup is not available yet. There is no public guest directory.

Honest reviews stay honest.

No fake reviews, paid praise, review trading, threats, retaliation, harassment or discrimination. A low rating or an honest difference of opinion is not, by itself, a reason to remove feedback. Ratings shown on property pages include only released, approved reviews; a new property has no rating until eligible reviews are published.

Something needs a second look?

Use “Report this review” beside a published review to send a private report. Our team checks the report against this policy; reporting does not automatically remove the review. For help with your own submission or an urgent trip concern, contact help@back40pass.com. A review is not an emergency support channel.
