Licenses, access and what to check

Access permit: Michigan license purchase required; prices vary by age, residency and duration. State game areas do not require a Recreation Passport, but a separate park/boat access route may.

Buy the appropriate Michigan base license or eligible nonresident 3-/7-day small-game license. Meet hunter-education or apprentice/mentor requirements, follow legal hours and equipment rules, and wear required hunter orange. Check posted conditions before travel.

Stay inside mapped public hunting boundaries; respect 150-yard firearm safety zones, posted closures and local weapon restrictions. This record does not cover deer, turkey or managed waterfowl permits, and does not reserve a spot.

Why this is included: The DNR lists this named public game/wildlife area and publishes its boundary map. Michigan’s 2026 small-game rules authorize these species with purchased base or limited small-game licenses, without an application draw. This record applies only to general huntable parcels and excludes managed permit hunts/refuges.

Source checked 2026-10-07. Agency entry or reservation; no Back40 booking fee.

Clear before the gate

A marketplace search should tell the truth.

$

Whole-party daily price

A live card states the land-access price for the whole allowed party per hunt day—not a per-person teaser.

Nationwide search

Every state stays searchable. A zero-result state remains honest instead of borrowing examples as inventory.

⌖

Reviewed parcel map

See approximate price pins at a broad zoom and only separately owner-consented, operator-reviewed parcel boundaries when you zoom close. A boundary is not a survey, access point, or permission to enter.

✓

Owner-approved access

Only a reviewed real listing can accept a date request, and a request alone never grants hunting permission.

Marketplace questions

Know what is real before you request it.

Are the example hunts real properties?

No. Each is an illustrative marketplace concept, says it is not currently bookable, and stays outside live result totals. Orange example pins show fictional regional locations and illustrative pricing; they do not identify actual properties.

Can I request dates on an example?

No. “Request a hunt like this” opens the existing hunter-request flow for the same state and game; it does not reserve or contact an example property.

What does the daily price mean?

On a reviewed real listing, it is the listed land-access price for the whole allowed party for one hunt day. Example prices are illustrative only, not offers or market estimates.

Does the map show where a property is?

At a broad zoom, price pins show an approximate area. At zoom 12 or closer, the map may show a separately owner-consented, operator-reviewed parcel boundary and county. It never shows an APN, parcel reference, gate, parking location, entry point, access route, or permission to enter. A reviewed boundary is not a survey, title record, or proof of ownership.

Does a date request grant access?

No. The landowner must approve the exact party, dates, rules, and property terms. Hunters remain responsible for every current license, tag, permit, season, and method rule.

What if no live hunt matches?

Create a privacy-safe hunter request. It records real demand and gives you a link to share with landowners without turning an example into inventory.
