Who may qualify: Private Texas land with huntable wildlife—particularly dove, waterfowl, pheasant, quail, feral hog, squirrel, rabbit, or other useful public opportunities—may be considered.
Owner control: The negotiated lease defines dates, species, acreage, and access conditions. For short big-game opportunities, TPWD draws hunters and the owner controls how the hunt is run.
Official next step: Contact the TPWD Public Hunting Program, private-lands leasing biologist, or a local wildlife biologist to propose the property.
